You don't need a new life. You need to get through the boring part
You can get attached to beginning itself. It quickly gives you the feeling of a new self. Disappointments haven't accumulated yet. Almost any outcome is still imaginable. Then the actual activity arrives, and it's less generous with excitement. You have to do something you're still average at. Correct, repeat, wait for a reply. It's easy to decide the problem is the choice you made. Starting something else feels good again. A new notebook, a new system, a new announcement. All the signs of movement are present.
