Nobody owes you applause for trying

Effort does not guarantee success, and a lack of success doesn't prove you're talentless. But your effort doesn't prove the result is good either. It's possible to live between those two thoughts. Without declaring yourself a misunderstood genius or turning every failure into a death sentence.
