Nobody owes you applause for trying

Exhaustion is convincing from the inside. You remember every evening, every revision, every moment you wanted to quit. For you, the result is packed to the brim with that history. The person on the outside never saw it. They opened the page, understood nothing, and closed it. They have a life too, problems of their own, and not much time. They didn't sign up to reconstruct your biography before deciding whether they need what you're offering.
